Scholarships

The School of Engineering and Computer Science has several scholarships specifically designated for its students.

These scholarships are awarded through the WSU Vancouver Scholarship application. For more information on scholarships and deadlines, see Student Financial Services.

Columbia Machine Scholarship

Two scholarships at $1,000 each

Criteria:

  • Seeking a degree in engineering
  • Undergraduate student
  • Minimum 12 credits of upper division coursework per semester

Eric & Elizabeth Schneider Endowed Scholarship

$2,000

Criteria:

  • WSU Vancouver undergraduate student
  • Degree seeking students in Computer Science
  • Minimum 10 credits per semester
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Preference given to Oregon residents

Glenn Terrell Endowed Engineering Scholarship

$500 – $1,000; may be renewable

Criteria:

  • WSU Vancouver student
  • Minimum 9 credits of upper-division coursework per semester
  • Seeking degree in engineering
  • Successful academic record
  • Demonstrated financial need (equal weighting to academic performance and financial need)

Glenn Terrell Endowed Computer Science Scholarship

$500 – $1,000; may be renewable

Criteria:

  • Seeking degree in computer science
  • Undergraduate
  • Successful academic record
  • Demonstrated financial need (equal weighting to academic performance and financial need)
  • Minimum 9 credits of upper-division coursework per semester

Hewlett Packard Endowed Scholarship

$200 – $1,000

Criteria:

  • WSU Vancouver ENCS undergraduate student
  • Strong preference given to women and/or members of underrepresented groups in science, engineering and computer science
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Full-time student (minimum 12 credits per semester or quarter equivalent)

School of ENCS Faculty and Staff Scholarship

$500

Criteria:

  • Undergraduate student
  • Enrolled in the computer science or mechanical engineering program
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Full-time student (minimum of 12 credits per semester)

Southwest Washington Contractors Association

$500 – $1,000

Criteria:

  • Undergraduate student
  • Seeking mechanical engineering degree
  • Minimum 3.2 GPA
  • Full time (12 credits per semester)

WSU Vancouver Alumni Scholarship for Engineering and Computer Science

$500 – $1,000

Criteria:

  • Undergraduate or graduate student
  • Minimum of 9 credits per semester
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA

WaferTech Engineering Scholarship

Six scholarships at $2,000 each

Criteria:

  • ENCS student pursuing an engineering or computer science major
  • At least junior standing or graduate level
  • Part-time and/or full-time student (minimum 6 credits undergraduate; minimum 3 credits graduate)
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
