Computer Science Laboratories

Circuits and microprocessors laboratory (VELS 101)

This laboratory is used to support Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering courses. It contains 13 workbenches with oscilloscopes, function generators, frequency counters, digital multimeters, power supplies, computers and various software.

The Sensorweb Research Laboratory (VELS 102)

Established for research on sensor networking technologies, the focus is to research new technology to enable real-time information gathering and sharing in unattended environments. In collaboration with USGS Cascades Volcano Observatory and NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, it received $1.6M funding support from NASA to develop an advanced research project – Optimized Autonomous Space and In-situ Sensorweb.

Computer laboratory (VELS 104)

This laboratory is equipped with 17 work stations and is used to support Computer Science courses, such as Operating Systems and Embedded Systems.
